Application period for home support for families with many children extended


EAS and KredEx joint agency is extending the acceptance period for submitting applications for the home support grant for families with many children. Applications can be submitted until 17 July.

This year, over 3 million euros is being invested into improving the living situations of families with many children. Currently, 158 households across Estonia have applied for the grant. 20 from Harju county, 1 from Hiiu county, 34 from Ida-Viru county, 7 from Jõgeva county, 3 from Järva county, 4 from Lääne county, 5 from Lääne-Viru county, 4 from Põlva county, 21 from Pärnu county, 4 from Rapla county, 6 from Saare county, 22 from Tartu county, 5 from Valga county, 15 from Viljandi county and 7 from Võru county.

One family can receive the grant up to two times. The maximum amount that can be granted is 10,000 euros. Families with three or four children who have received home support once before can apply a second time for an additional sum of 5000 euros. Families with five or more children who have received home support once before can apply a second time for an additional sum of 10,000 euros.

The grant can be used for: Expenses related to construction, renovation, reconstruction or expansion, as well as the installation, modification or replacement of technological systems or networks. Acquiring a place of residence if the family does not have their own permanent place of residence or if the house or apartment owned by the family does not provide modern living standards, including if the living space is not sufficient for the size of the family.

Families that have previously received a grant must have expended the amount of money allotted for its intended purpose by the time of submitting a second application, in order to apply for a second grant, and must have submitted confirmation thereof in the form of a final report to KredEx.
