08.12.2022
On the basis of the updated conditions, the grant can also be applied for and disbursements be made in the coming year. Until the end of 2023, approximately EUR 15 million will be disbursed to increase the energy efficiency of small residential buildings and to install solar panels.
The grant can be obtained for the refurbishment of small residential buildings, regardless of the age of the building. In addition, the installation of solar panels does not require connection to the grid, i.e., solar panels can also be installed without connecting them to the grid.
If it is planned to renovate the building with the help of the grant, it is not allowed to commence works before submitting the application, nor to make advance payments. If the grant to install solar panels is applied for, then it is allowed to have prepared the design and obtained a price quote for installation works, but installation works must only be performed after the application has been submitted.
To qualify for the grant, the small residential building must have been built on a legal basis and entered in the building register, and its year of first occupation must be stated in the building register. The grant cannot be used to expand a private residence, nor is the cost of building materials purchased by the homeowner themselves reimbursed.
For individual works, the grant rate is 20%, and the maximum grant amount is EUR 20,000 per small residential building.
