The percentage of housing loans with the KredEx guarantee was almost 14% in October

As of the end of October, banks have issued housing loans in the total amount of 514 million kroons with the KredEx guarantee this year. While the volume of the loans granted with the KredEx guarantee was 63.5 million kroons in September, the total amount was 85 million kroons in October, which constitutes 13.8% of all housing loans granted in Estonia. For the whole 2009 (as of October), the volume of the housing loans issued with the KredEx guarantee is 8.8% of the total loans issued. The respective figure for 2008 was 5.9%. KredEx has been issuing housing loan guarantees to young families, young specialists and tenants residing in restituted houses since 2000. During this period, 13,148 young families, 6,775 young specialists and 69 tenants residing in restituted houses (almost 20,000 households in total) have improved their living conditions through KredEx. Since 2000, KredEx has issued housing loan guarantees for over 1.8 billion kroons in total.
