Local governments submitted 44 applications for grants in the total amount of 80.4 million kroons to solve housing problems of people who belong to social risk groups and new labour force arriving to a particular region.
Applications for grants to solve housing problems of people who belong to social risk groups were submitted in the amount of 74 million kroons and of new labour force arriving to a particular region in the amount of 6.4 million kroons, said Ms Kristina Samra, the media and communications specialist of KredEx, to BNS.
Most applications were submitted from Ida-Viru county - seven in total. Järva county followed with five, Harju and Pärnu counties with four applications.
KredEx provides grants to solve housing problems of labour force in the total amount of 29.9 million kroons. Out of the budget of application session, 24.8 millions are meant to solve housing problems of people who belong to social risk groups and 5.1 million kroons to solve housing problems of new labour force arriving to a particular region.
All local governments can apply for grants to solve housing problems of people who belong to social risk groups. Tallinn, Tartu and Pärnu cannot apply for grants to solve housing problems of new labour force arriving to these particular regions.
Maximum grant per project or per grant project and local government is 5 million kroons to solve housing problems of people who belong to social risk groups and one million kroons to solve housing problems of new labour force arriving to a particular region.
Applicant's minimum contribution is 50 per cent of the total project amount.
In the last application session for grants in January, this year, 10 applications were submitted, out of which KredEx satisfied nine, in the total amount of 23.9 million kroons.
