From November 8th to 12th, the Energy Agency of Tartu Region in cooperation with KredEx, Eesti Energia, Estonian Union of Cooperative Housing Associations, SEI Tallinn, Tartu Science Park and Climate and Energy Agency is organising the second all-Estonian Energy Saving Week, the purpose of which is to make people think about energy consumption and decreasing of that. One week includes several activities and events to give wider audibility and visibility to the topic.

This year the main topic is energy saving in buildings, and during the week it is possible to participate in energy saving seminars all over Estonia. Additionally, a competition of video clips introducing energy saving to students, and a discussion club for university students shall take place.

A special web page www.energiatark.ee has been opened for the Energy Saving Week, from where it is possible to find information about the events of the week and participating organisations, as well as good advice regarding general saving behaviour.

All institutions, companies and associations producing, reselling, processing and consuming energy, or those with a message about energy saving to consumers are welcome to participate in the Energy Saving Week. It is possible to join the programme until November 5th.

The first Energy Saving Week in Estonia took place by initiative of KredEx in November 2009.

Conducting of the Energy Saving Week is facilitated by the European Union.
