From July 1, KredEx will start to accept home grant applications meant for families with many children. State non-repayable grant for improvement of housing conditions is meant for families with many children, where there are at least four children up to 19 years and whose income per household is up to EEK 6,000 based on the last 2 years income tax return. The state will finance part of the value of performed works / obtained housing as the grant. Deadline for submission of applications is September 30.
Activities eligible for grants are the following: housing execution, reconstruction or expansion in terms of Building Act; housing obtaining; repayment of main part of housing loan or support for self-financing payment; modification or replacement of housing technical systems; housing renovation not being execution in terms of Building Act; expenditure covering related to the building project preparation necessary for project implementation, and application for local government’s written permission concerning building permit and execution. An applicant has the right to get a grant for financing one project; the maximum amount will be EEK 160,000 per project. If a household includes more than eight children, then the maximum amount will be EEK 320,000 per project. State will support the implementation of the projects targeted to improve the housing conditions for 80-100% of the project value. Amount of the grant will depend on the last two years average taxable income of applicant’s household per household member. The measure will be based on “Government coalition program 2007-2011” concluded on April 2, 2007; pursuant to the program, the coalition will allocate 50 million EEK for resolving the housing problems of families with many children.
